This heartwarming event is more than just a race; it’s a tribute to Jason Hannigan and a commitment to mental health awareness. Join us as we celebrate Jason’s legacy and raise critical funds to support 2-4-1 Hartford’s youth sports programs, fostering social and emotional learning in our community’s youth.

Last year, we witnessed over 250 participants running or walking the mile, with one fun standout achievement believed to be a world record for running a mile in blue jeans while juggling the entire time!  We raised over $10,000 and used those funds to start a 2-4-1 TOP Self Program at West Middle School in the Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford!

The Blue Jean Mile tradition traces back to 2020 when ASICS athlete Johnny Gregorek set a world record for running in blue jeans with a time of 4:06.25, aiming to spotlight mental health and support the National Alliance on Mental Illness of NYC (NAMI-NYC). ASICS continues to build on Gregorek’s groundbreaking work by promoting mental health awareness and the search for balance. Join us in this meaningful pursuit by participating in the Blue Jean Mile, where every step taken is a stride towards mental health awareness and nurturing the potential of our kids through sports and education. Sign Me Up!
