Connecticut Problem Gambling Initiatives

The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) Problem Gambling Services funds statewide initiatives and a public awareness campaign to address problem gambling behavior in Connecticut.

The initiatives and campaign function together to prevent youth access to gambling activities; to encourage individuals to take steps to reduce their risks for problem gambling behavior and gambling-related harms; and to connect people with screening, treatment, and helpful resources.

CT Gambling Awareness Community & Leadership Teams

Connecticut has five Regional Gambling Awareness Teams that work to reduce problem gambling behavior among Connecticut’s youth, young adults, and adults through prevention efforts, early intervention, and access to treatment. The teams meet quarterly to:
