Tobacco and Electronic Cigarette Sales: Do The Right ThingPrevention Education Program for Retailers

Designed for Connecticut retailers and their employees, this training focuses on the prevention of tobacco, tobacco products, and e-cigarette sales to anyone under the age of 21.

TOBACCO RETAILERS - NEW LAW EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2022:

The new Connecticut law requires that “A seller or seller’s agent or employee shall request that each person intending to purchase cigarettes or a tobacco product present a driver’s license or identity card to establish that such person is 21 years of age or older” (PA 5506 Sec. 198. Section 53-344 (d) (1)).This means you must check the photo ID of EVERYONE who purchases cigarettes and/or other tobacco products.

The training and quiz will take around 30 minutes to complete, and you must get 7 out of 10 questions correct to pass. If you fail, you can retake the training and quiz. There is no limit to the number of times you can take the training and quiz. Your employees can take it upon hire and annually thereafter as a refresher training, too. Once you pass the quiz, a certificate will be available for download and you will be emailed a copy.

Please start by entering your information below, and the tutorial and quiz will then begin.
