Training Description: Prediction markets are rapidly emerging as a new form of speculative online participation that is receiving increased public attention and engagement. Often presented as financial or money-making opportunities similar to trading or investing, these platforms create important considerations for prevention professionals seeking to better understand evolving environments related to promotion, accessibility, normalization, and perception of risk. This 90-minute session will provide a foundational overview of prediction markets, examine how these environments are being promoted and discussed within broader culture, and explore prevention considerations related to emerging speculative environments.

2. Examine how prediction markets are framed, promoted, and marketed to the public

3. Explore promotion, accessibility, normalization, and perception of risk as prevention-related considerations within emerging speculative environments
