Cychlorphine

Cychlorphine is an unregulated, synthetic opioid, which may be up to 10 times more potent than fentanyl. It has been found on its own, mixed with other drugs - including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine - and in counterfeit drugs created to resemble prescription medications. People may not know they have been exposed to Cychlorphine because it is not currently detected by drug test strips, including fentanyl test strips.

Cychlorphine can significantly slow breathing or stop a person from breathing. Overdose can be fatal without a rapid response.

Signs may include:
•    Slow, shallow, irregular, or stopped breathing
•    Choking or gurgling sounds
•    Limp body, inability to wake the person
•    Blue, gray, or purple lips and fingernails
•    Pinpoint pupils

Multiple doses of naloxone may be needed to reverse an overdose.
