What We Do

The True to You Coalition’s mission is to promote tobacco- and vape-free living among Connecticut’s LGBTQ+ community. In other words: we encourage and support the LGBTQ+ community in their decision to say “NO” to tobacco use and vaping and to say “YES” to healthy living.

The Coalition:

Raises awareness about the many risks associated with tobacco use and vaping

      

Sheds light on the tobacco and vaping companies' tactics to market their products more aggressively to the LGBTQ+ community than the non-LGBTQ+ community (click the image for more information)

Promotes healthy alternatives to tobacco use and vaping for handling stress or other difficult feelings and situations

           

Connects individuals to quit services and resources
